ACCESSIBILITY / WORKING STATEMENT

Everyone should be able to use this website.

We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is not a one-time checklist, so we will keep testing and improving the site as it grows.

What we have done so far

  • Semantic landmarks and a visible-on-focus skip link.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, links, and controls.
  • Visible focus, high-contrast text, and non-colour status labels.
  • Responsive reflow, readable line lengths, and support for text enlargement.
  • Reduced-motion and forced-colours adaptations.
  • Inline form errors, an error summary, and live submission feedback.

Known limitations

We have not yet completed a full manual audit with screen readers, 400% zoom, high-contrast modes, landscape layouts, and a broad range of browsers. Future papers, datasets, charts, and downloads will also need to be checked before they are published.
